In spite of all the the great deeds and promises of the current age, it has become glaringly obvious that a great deal needs to be done in order to secure the future of the next generation of woman and young girls within the field of science and technology. The Chemical Industries Training and Education Authority (Cheiata) has taken the first steps in this dream by mandating the facilitating of skills development, education, and training in the chemical industry (Pillay Y, 2024).
On a brighter note, in the Eastern Cape, the department of education celebrates the achievements of one matriculant, as they take up the title of provincial top achiever in the National Senior Certificate Examinations.
